Community Management

Blog communities are great for networking with other FC2 bloggers with similar interests. Managing your community and blog pages are key to networking with members. In this section, we will explain how to manage communities. We will also explain how you can authorize sub-authors, to help you manage your community.

Creating a new community

When you create a new community, you become the community author/manager. Before starting a community, be sure to check if there aren't similar or same community categories. We will delete communities that are innappropriate or bothersome to other users.

*Enter Community Information

Enter community information, such as community name, public/private settings, etc. For more details check out Community Outline. You can always change your outlines and settings afterwards as well.

*Start a Topic

You can adjust the settings so that anyone can start new topics, however, it is a good idea to start a few topics on your own first. This way, you can be more specific with what you want to be discussed within your community.

Member management

As your community grows, there may be a few trouble makers that join your community. If this is the case, as the community author/manager, you may delete and prohibit these members from your community.

*You can assign sub-authors to take care of these issues as well.

Just select [Member Management] in the [Community Outlines] section to manage your community members.

As the community author/manager, you will be in charge of the following:

Community authority assignment
It is easy to assign community authority. If requests within 3 days will be void.
After authority approval, they will be able to help with community management.
Assign sub-authors
You can manage sub-authors to help you manage your community, requests within 3 days will be void. The sub-authors can help manage your community by managing topics and comments.
Member exclusion
You can exclude members from your community. You can also, add them back later on if you wish. If you want to permanently block a user, select [Block User].
Block user settings
To prevent excluded member from rejoining your community select [Block User].
Enter the blog ID in the text box and select [Settings]. [A Blog ID is]
It is also part of the blog URL http://blogXX.●●●.com [●●●] in here.
This will not work on active community members.
To exclude current members, select [Exclude].
