What is Plugin?

Plug-in is a program to add substitutional function to your blogs/websites. In FC2, it means pretty much the same: to add substitutional functions on your blog sidebar.

Want to make your blog look more organised? Then plugin is for you: it allows you an easy management of your blog sidebar. (i.e. altering displayed order of functions, addition/deletion of functions and etc...) Plugin does not require you to have detailed knowledge on HTML as you do not have to touch upon source code of the template you are with. Most of templates support plugins except "sample" and "default."

*Templates that Support Plugins

You can make sure whether your current template supports plugins or not. As it has been mentioned above, most of FC2 templates support plugins. (except "sample" and "default")
Plugins are categorised from 1 to 3. Depending on templates, you might find ones that only support one of three categories.

*Enable/Disable Plugins

If you choose "disabled"from the pull down, plugins will not be displayed regardless of the support of templates.

*PC Plugins

It shows all plugins you have employed in your blog. You can delete and manage whether to show plugins or not.

*Plugin Category

Plugins are categorised from 1 to 3.
Category directly determines how plugins are to be displayed.
Suppose you have a template with two sidebars on each side, and assign category 1 to left-hand side and category 3 to right-hand side. Pull down "cat." and choose where you want to re-assign that plugin, replacement of plugins is very easy without making tiny arrangements in HTML.
